Sensory integration therapy

Sensory integration therapy is a technique often used by occupational therapy assistants (OTAs) to help individuals with sensory processing challenges better interpret and respond to sensory input through structured, play-based activities like swinging or handling textured objects. This therapy is commonly used for children with conditions such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or Sensory Processing Disorder (SPD).
